Rainbow Six Siege’s new season is finally out, with new content such as two new Operators, a rework of the House map and more. Year 5 Season 2 is called Operation Steel Wave and introduces the Operators Ace, Norwegian Attacker and Melusi, a defender from Norway and South Africa. Ace is equipped with S.E.L.M.A, a gadget that allows him to destroy up to 3 panels successively by rolling down the wall. Melusi on the other hand is equipped with the Banshee Sonic Defense that slows down attackers and alerts you of any enemies near it.

The fan-favorite House map has been newly reworked and expanded with two rooms on each floor. This is also accompanied by new entry points and bomb sites. Other already existing areas have been altered and revamped in this update such as the garage and workshop.
In addition, the Proximity Alarm is a new Defender secondary gadget, that as the name implies, alerts you of Attackers near it by triggering an alarm. Other notable changes include a unified MMR across regions, the addition of Echo Elite set and changes applied to Amaru’s interaction with barricades.
Owners of the Year 5 Pass will unlock the new Operators immediately, while the rest of the players will be able to unlock them starting June 23rd using any of the in-game currencies, Renown or R6 Credits. Also, the Battle Pass “Tour De Force,” will become available on June 29th.
