The Ascent – PC Review
I expected a solid but one-note sci-fi action RPG. What I found instead was an elegant narrative that struck chords the way cyberpunk media ought to.
Resident Evil Village Review
Excitement, joy, relief, fear, terror, these are but a brief summary of the rollercoaster of emotions that I experienced whilst playing Resident Evil Village, Capcom's 8th addition to one of the heavyweight series from the horror game genre. Ethan Winters embarks on another enthralling trip into one of the most sinister worlds in the franchise, coated in a beautiful sprawling map and fuelled by heart pounding gameplay that seeks to improve on the survival-based mechanics of its predecessor. Some thrilling boss battles, elaborate puzzles and too many jump scares to count really flesh out the environment, keeping you on your toes throughout the entirety of Ethan's decent into the twisted world of the Village.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Next-Gen Review
Admittedly, I've had multiple failed attempts at getting into skateboarding whilst growing up, me and my Star Wars themed board were never fit for the big leagues. Whilst I could never live up to the pros in real life, I fondly remember feeling like the man himself playing the Tony Hawk series back in the early 2000s, and now some 20 years later, they're back. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a complete remaster of the original two titles packed into one game with all of the original maps and game modes with some new additions for good measure. It's a mix of old world meets new with similar gameplay and design that feels like a blast to the past, draped in state of the art graphics thanks to the new next gen update. It brings a new lease of life to a cult classic of the PS2 era, and whether you're a seasoned veteran of the originals or new to the series, there's a whole lot of fun to be had.

Star Wars: Squadrons Review
I can safely say that for a long time my biggest childhood fantasy was to pilot an X-wing from Star Wars, ever since first watching the mesmerising battle for the Death Star I'd dreamt to be able to play a Star Wars space combat game, and some years later, EA answered the call. Star Wars: Squadrons is exactly that, a fully fledged space combat game which is the new addition to EA's growing arsenal of titles for the franchise. It offers fast paced combat and beautiful visuals that at times really do make you feel like you're right there in the cockpit and it is a truly amazing feeling, but a pretty lacklustre campaign and slow paced gameplay bring the experience down to earth.

Tales From The Borderlands Review
A notable resident of Earth once wrote that "Nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." Residents of Pandora have a similar expression: "Nothing can be said to be certain, except death and explosions...and blood, and betrayal, and psychos...and bike races, sand, skags, and sporks." It doesn't quite have the same ring... Continue Reading →
